Overview

The Faridabad Chapter commenced in January 2023. It was started with the primary aim of forming a socially conscious team that would make social change by creating a broad-reaching platform to encourage and motivate volunteers in Faridabad in compliance with their interests, skill, and time. From the starting of the chapter, more than 150 volunteers are actively participating in doing services from time to time.

We’re currently working with 7+ colleges and universities and 10+ government schools and running 10+ learning centers for needy students all over Faridabad.

Our Programs

NMMS

National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship) is a centrally sponsored national level scholarship program for students studying in government, local body or government-aided schools. Its objective is to award scholarships to students from financially weaker sections of the society to support them in completing their secondary school.

Abhyasikas

While schools play an important role in furthering education, some students may need additional support. Abhyasikas are YFS’ efforts to help such students who need extra assistance. These are free tuition centers aimed at helping children from challenging home environments to focus on their studies for a better future. They also help minimize a child’s exposure to these environments, keeping them safe in the process.

Navoudit

Navoudit (meaning “to sprout”) is an event that includes month-long preparations that culminates in a single day of talent display by children. The event includes students from government schools and non-formal educational institutions. Navoudit is an annual cultural event conducted to showcase the talents of children from various backgrounds.

Adolescent Health Awareness Program

Foundation is laid in childhood and personality is raised in adolescence. Youth for Seva started AHAP sessions to help adolescents to become better healthy, responsible citizens of India. Our program is designed with sessions to address the change in adolescence and mental health, peer pressure, addiction, and counseling for students. .

Summer Camps/Winter Camps

Summer Camps play a huge role in the development and nurturing of a child. Camps offer a playful and interactive environment where children can learn important life skills. However, summer camps are usually restricted to privileged circles and to families who can afford them. At Youth for Seva, we believe that comprehensive and interactive education is an equitable right for everyone.

Career Awareness Program

At Youth for Seva (YFS), we understand the daunting question that looms over the heads of many students: “What do you want to become?” This query, while simple at its core, can evoke a mix of confusion, apprehension, and excitement. Recognizing that the path to one’s dream career is not always clear—especially given the rapid developments and changing dynamics in various industries—YFS has initiated the Career Awareness Program.

Sapling Plantation Drive

The conservation of biodiversity can no longer be regarded as an esoteric exercise on which the very existence of all life depends. To help bridge the gap Youth for Seva conducts multiple plantation drives across the country. We engage volunteers in planting saplings and following up with their growth and maintenance.
